How to find a scientific article

If you are at a college or university, your library should have links to online journals and/or article search engines such as Inspec to locate a journals or authors. If your not this fortunate, you can go directly to many of the publishing companies and search their databases. Without an IP address of a company or university you will most likely be limited to viewing the abstracts. Online subscriptions will most likely allow you to download the full article (typically in pdf format). Publishing houses are getting more and more of their articles online, but you're usually limited to articles published within the last few years.

University of Oklahoma: physics library and online journals.

Other databases are available and will be added later.

For older journal articles you'll probably need to use Inspec or visit the library and use the tried and true method of searching through bound editions of Physics abstracts.
