Dr. Ferah Munshi
Welcome! I am currently an assistant professor in the Physics and Astronomy Department at the University of Oklahoma. Please find my new (and nicer) group page here. My research interests broadly include studying the subject of star formation in cosmological N-body simulations. In particular, I have studied how galaxies populate their dark matter halos, the structure of the star forming ISM in cosmological simulations and have used observational techniques applied to simulations to study star formation in dwarf galaxies. I am involved with a fully-funded project to create the largest database of high resolution simulated dwarf galaxies in existence, in order to study, over a broad range of environments and masses, the formation and evolution of dwarf galaxies. I also am involved in various outreach endeavors, including co-coordinating OU's Physics REU program, and in the past, UW's Pre-MAP program. Please click on the links to learn more.
