To Create a Composite Review:
- Go to the Item Workspace of the
item being reviewed.
- Select the link to "Begin New Composite Review".
- You will have a choice of individual reviews to use as the "base
review" for the composite. This individual review will be placed
in the composite review form to edit. It is best to select the individual
review that is closest to the final review, or a review with HTML
formatting.
- Selecting "Begin Review" takes you to the composite review
form. This has input boxes identical to those of the individual review
form, with the "base review" in the boxes. In addition,
both individual reviews are listed above each input box. The numerical
ratings from the "base review" are initially in the composite.
- Text from the individual reviews can be highlighted, copied ([CNTRL-C])
and pasted ([CNTRL-V]) into the input boxes of the Composite Review
form.
- Once completed, the Composite Review can be saved
in the same way as Individual Reviews.
Notes:
- Reviewers and Board Members who have been assigned to review an item
and write and edit a composite review for that item.
- Discipline Board Editors can write and edit composite reviews for
any item on MERLOT.
- Any reviewer of an item, and Editors, can edit a composite review
once it is written.
- Composite reviews can be written without individual reviews.
