My current work is focused on the characterization and modification of the III-V material Indium Antimonide (InSb). Multiple Quantum Well (MQW) structures of AlxIn1-xSb/InSb are grown by Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) and will be transfered in UHV to our Omicron Scanning Probe Microscope for `in-situ' analysis and modification. With simple surface modifications to the `growing' with the SPM nano-structrure developement will be feasible on this material.

I am also a strong advocate of free software and the Linux operating system. Among a few other projects I am developing an ion beam analysis program `IRMA' which simulates Rutherford Backscattering as well a forward recoiling spectra for arbitrary beam and sample composition. The port from Borland C++ 3.1 to the the gnu compilers is underway and will be cross platform compatible by using the V GUI .
