TauPlusJets2012

Alpgen W+jets Unfiltered: This is a sample containing W+light jets, W+charm (massless charm) and W+bb (where bb are produced in the parton shower). The _pt20 in the name refers to the ETCLUS parameter used for MLM matching.

Alpgen W+bb+jets: the samples are generated with one with loose phase space cuts on the heavy quarks (ptmin=0.0 GeV, dR(QQ)>0.00) hence they have signifficant overlap with samples 107680-5,107690-5, 107700-5 (b- quarks comming from g splitting). HFOR tool should be used for overlap removal when using these samples.

All samples below are with the fix for the Herwig lifetime bug. However for the light jets, only ~1/10 of the events were reprocessed (the buggy versions with the full stat are with tags e1218_s1469_s1470_r3542_r3549_p1269).

Note that the Alpgen Z+jets samples do not contain Z events exclusively, but include the full Drell-Yan contribution from the process gamma*->ll and take the Z/gamma* interference into account.

Alpgen Z+jets Unfiltered: These Z+jets samples have been generated with dileptons in the invariant mass range of 60 GeV < M(ll)< 2000 GeV, so the cross-sections quoted in the table below are the total DY cross-section in that invariant mass range.

Alpgen Z+bb+jets: These Z+jets samples have been generated with dileptons in the invariant mass range of 30 GeV < M(ll)< 1 TeV. HFOR tool should be used for overlap removal when using these samples with the unfiltered ones.

Alpgen Z+cc+jets: These Z+jets samples have been generated with dileptons in the invariant mass range of 30 GeV < M(ll)< 1 TeV. HFOR tool should be used for overlap removal when using these samples with the unfiltered ones.
