Adam went on to get his PhD at the University of Washington in 2012, and now is a NPP fellow at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center. Adam has mad breakdancing skills and taught me two intro freeze moves, which I can still do somewhat adequately! He also survived a 17-mile open-ocean kayak excursion along Kauai’s Napali coast with me following an observing run.
Adam & I have been on observing runs at the UKIRT, Subaru, KPNO 2.1m, WIYN 0.9m, DAO 1.8m, and APO 3.5m+0.5m (remotely) telescope facilities.
Ben is currently an astronomy graduate student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. As an undergraduate, he narrowly survived an encounter with a Kona shark before our planned Subaru observing run. He won two Mary Gates Research scholarships at UW to support his undergraduate research, and also did a summer REU at the University of Wisconsin.
Ben & I have been on observing runs at the KPNO 2.1m and APO 3.5m (onsite and remotely) telescope facilities.
Zack is now an astronomy graduate student at the University of Victoria. He worked with me for 4 years at UW on analyzing archival spectropolarimetric observations of classical Be stars. He won departmental and University-wide research awards as a result of this work, was a Washington Space Grant SURP intern, and did a summer REU at the University of Toledo.
After getting his MS in physics, Brad went on to work with the Spitz planetarium company.
Keaton is currently an astronomy graduate student at the University of Texas.
